Hezârfen Ahmed Çelebi is the Ottoman aviator known to be the first person sustained unpowered flight, the statement brought up to nowadays by the writings of Evliya Çelebi. He succeeded in his dream of flying by using eagle wings to advantage only the wind power and could managed his unpowered flight in a distance of 3.4 km while crossing the whole Bosporus.

Same Roots with Sweden and Turkey

How weird is that two countries, Sweden and Turkey, which are two far in distance to each other have such common words in their languages. Futhark alphabet (predecessor of Runic Alphabet) is known to have the same origin with the ancient Turkish (the current Turkish has been intermixed with Persian language a lot in the recent history).
